Chapter 5

• SOMEONE FROM THE PAST
• TESSA POINT OF VIEW
• Hayden and I were busy throwing hurtful and insultive words at each other when the blaring sound of my ringtone distracted us and i was very glad because this was the perfect opportunity to get away from him, I left him and went straight to my room to receive the call.
• "What Lucas?" I yelled at the one person who i was not ready to speak to.
• "Tessa is the news true, tell me is it true?"
• "Not now Lucas."
• "Damn it Tessa, answer my question are you getting married?" He yelled over the phone
• "Not now Lucas i am not in the mood." I disengaged the call
• Lucas is my boyfriend or should I say Ex since I am getting married.
• I walked to the balcony of my room and watched as Hayden and his parents were entering their car, everything that transpired between Hayden and I in the garden came flashing back.
• His words really hit some vital nerves, I only pretended to be okay so that he won't think that his words have an effect on me.
• I know that it is my fault that Hayden became this cold and abusive, if only i didn't hurt him seven years ago all this won't have happened.
• Hayden won't be cold, arrogant and sharp mouthed.
• I know that i should set things right by apologizing to Hayden for what happened in the past and for destroying our beautiful friendship which was the envy of everyone, but my pride and ego will never allow me to apologize to Hayden and amend our friendship.
• Will he forgive me even if i apologize? I don't think so because what i did to him was painful.
• If only I wasn't a coward, I won't have hurt my best friend and ruined our beautiful friendship.
• I feel that it is wrong to get married to Hayden who despises me, this shouldn't happen because i can't cope and live with someone who hated me.
• Even if i regrets my actions seven years ago, i will never be able to apologise to Hayden, even though i know it is the right and perfect thing to do. I just can't, I just can't bruise my ego.

• THE NEXT DAY
• "So what are you going to do about the marriage?" Joan asked after i finished explaining what transpired between Hayden and I
• "I just don't know what to do, i am so frustrated at the moment."
• "Are you still going to go on with the marriage?" She asked
• "Hell no! Never! I will do what ever it takes to stop this charade. I don't want to end up with annoying Hayden."
• "What if you don't find a way? What if you don't find a solution to fix everything?"
• "That is a question or feeling that i don't want to have, it scares the hell out of me to think that i can't find a solution, Joan i can't get married to Hayden."
• "Isn't it time that you apologize to Hayden?"
• "Never Joan, Never, Never will i apologize to Hayden."
• "Tess you need to apologise with Hayden and mend your friendship which you broke. The apology is long overdue."
• "No Joan, i can't bring myself to apologise to Hayden."
• "Remember you are the reason why Hayden despises you."
• "I don't care if he despises me, i just need a solution to scatter the marriage so that our paths won't ever cross."
• "Okay good luck finding a solution."
• "You should care Tess because very soon Hayden Anderson will still be your husband because i highly doubt that you can find a solution to scatter the marriage."
• "Miss Tessa Hayden Anderson." She teased.
• "The sound of that makes me want to puke."
• "Tessa, our highschool reunion is in two weeks. The news of you and Hayden is all over the net and everyone from our highschool is shock by the sudden news most of them refuse to believe the news considering what happened between the both of you."
• "I don't care what they all think. I can't wait to meet our highschool classmates and most importantly i can't wait to steal the show and get the attention of everyone."
• "You have to care about what they say Tessa to avoid them finding out the reason behind your marriage to Hayden. You and Hayden need to convince everyone that you both are getting married because you are in love with each other."
• "Yeah Joan, you are right but don't worry, I will be able to pull it off and make it look real as if will are getting married because we are so much in love with each other. My problem is Hayden will he be able to pull it off?"
• "Yeah, that worries me too. It gives me the chills. Hayden has changed so much from the sweet and loving person he was before. I don't even know who this Hayden is anymore. His gaze is always dark and he always wear a frown on his face.
• You can't even tell what his expression is . How can a man change so much in just a few years?" Joan wondered.
• "I can't believe that I am going to spend the rest of my life with him."
• "Make sure to come together with Hayden to avoid suspicions."
• "Yeah whatever, i can't force him if he doesn't want to come."
• "You have to Tessa, just put your pride aside and asked him so you two can attend the reunion together."
• "Sure best friend,I will put my pride aside and asked him to attend the reunion with me."
• "Tessa you need Hayden because someone from you and Hayden pass is going to be there."
• My face became pale at Joan statement.
