• Flying a dragon was the most spectacular thing I had ever experienced. It made me sad knowing that they couldn’t fly above the ground though. I wanted things to change for them; I understood that Jaxon was only trying to protect them and his people, but it still wasn’t fair to any of them to be kept underground.
• The moment we were on the ground, I wanted to take flight again. I don’t think I could have ever gotten enough of that. I was pretty confident that I could ride a dragon by myself now. It felt as if I had done this a million times in the past. It was a strange feeling, but it was there in the pit of my stomach.
