Chapter 7 How To Mark Your Mate (Part 2)

• Sky could feel the atmosphere in the room was changing drastically, she agreed on their terms it was because of her own hidden reason. She needs their help to find the mystery of her family and also of course the protection that they can provide. She knows about the immense wealth of Payne Redford, the regality of the bloodline of Gale Crimsontide, and although she doesn’t know anything about Soma Midorikawa's background, she is sure that he is not an ordinary Alpha as well.
• “Are you sure about your decision? Because when we become your mate, there’s no turning back.” Payne needs to make sure that Sky is a hundred percent committed to this arrangement, he is fond of her, and looks at her as a fragile being who needs his protection. “We are going to protect you, of course, and you will have immense wealth, even more than Bluedawn has for you, but you will be hunted until we hold the wedding ritual, one year from now.”
• As he doesn’t want to be left out of the conversation, Gale makes some input for Sky to consider as well, “It will be a dangerous path for us, although the three of us are ready, you need to be sure that you’re also ready, for every Alphas that are hungry for your power, and…” He glanced at Soma who sat calmly on the sofa, wearing a boxer and without any shirt on. “You need to serve the three of us, equally, do you understand that, Miss Sky?”
• Nodding her head, she tried to look confident when she answered Gale’s question, “Of course, I understand what you want to say, Sir Gale, I will learn to be able to serve all of you, equally.”
• “No, you’re not, princess.” It was Soma who spoke, as he took his mug and poured another coffee for himself. “Equal here, doesn’t mean we have the same preference, rather in business… And pleasure.” His eyes filled with fire, a passion that he already wanted to show to Sky. “Are you ready for it? Are you ready for something different from us?”
• As she took a deep breath, Sky closed her eyes, she was determined to face every hurdle, and it meant to have the three of them by her side. She opened her eyes and said, “Yes, I am ready, I chose the three of you to protect me and to become my mates.”
• The three Alphas look into each other, Gale then approaches her, as he stands in front of her. “Give me your hand.” He commands it, and when Sky gives him her right hand, he does something unexpected, Gale takes her arm and bites it.
• She screams in agony, and that’s when Payne and Soma hold her shoulder. She looks at them with a confused expression.
• “You need to endure it, he gave you his mark, don’t worry it will be over soon.” Whispered Payne on her ears.
• The pain was excruciating, she tried so hard to endure it, and then an arm appeared in front of her, it was Gale, and he asked her to bite into his arm to ease the pain. She is reluctant at first but as Gale keeps sinking his teeth into her flesh, she doesn’t have a choice. As she whimpered, she bit at Gale’s arm, tears falling from her eyes, the taste of blood coming inside of her mouth, Gale’s blood running into her throat. When he was finally done, both of them tasted each other’s blood.
• “Now, you’re officially my mate, Miss Sky.” Said Gale while he licked the wound that Sky inflicted.
• She was trembling in fear, she never knew the process of any ritual before, “I thought changing a vow is enough to become a mate, if the mating ritual is this scary, what about the wedding ritual?” She turned her head to Payne, while the man treated her wound.
• “Trust me, it will be best if you do not know about the wedding ritual for now.” Chuckles Soma, as he retreated to the sofa. “Payne, let her rest, for now, giving her one mark already makes her faint.”
• Payne agreed, and let Sky rest on the bed. Gale came forward and brushed her hair, “I am sorry darling, the pain will disappear in a couple of hours.”
• “Promise?” Whimpered Sky, still with tears in her eyes. Her childlike personality sometimes appears, and Gale is smitten by it, indefinitely.
• “Of course, now take some rest, for now, Alright?” Gale gave her a soothing voice, trying to make her sleep.
• Retreated back into the sofa after he was sure of Sky sleeping soundly in the bed, the other two already waiting impatiently.
• “So? How does it feel? This connection with her.” Asked Soma with a smirk on his smile, he couldn’t wait for his turn to activate his connection with Sky.
• Gale just gave him a smile, he touched the aching bite wound on his arm, “Incredible, like a warm sunshine spreading into your bloodstream, I can feel her being disconnected, as she is sleeping right now, the connection is real.”
• “Can she handle three connections at the same time? I mean she is a weak hybrid, even though her mother was a powerful witch, and her father was the Alpha.” Payne worried about her well-being, he will always worry about her, and will never stop for the sake of her happiness.
• “Hey, you’re being overprotective of her, you’re beginning to look like your age, Payne.” Teased Soma at him. “Like a father to his da…”
• Payne slammed the table and hissed at Soma, “I dare you to continue to speak, I f*cking dare you…”
• With a long sigh, Gale became the middle ground, before any confrontation erupted. “Come on, the two of you, just stop, remember the three of us are now in this together.” His finger pointed at the sleeping young woman in the bed. “She needs us, more than ever, and after she was aware we were going to exploit her even more, she still chose to be with us.”
• “Well, it was us or that monster, who is going to blame her for choosing the lesser monster.” Muttered Soma with a wicked smile on his face.
• “Then let us be a good monster for her!” Glaring at Soma, Gale will do everything for Sky, the connection is stronger when they become a husband and wife, but he can still feel the hint of his warm connection with her, a dull but present connection.
• Payne grabbed his shoulder and pressed it gently, he was the man with a few words, he just wanted to say that he understood completely. Soma, on the other hand, is brusque and uncaring at a time, he just shrugs his shoulder and lies on the sofa.
• “I believe you can sleep beside her now since you already marked her, so I took the sofa.” Said Soma, as he closed his eyes. “Payne can go to sleep on the floor, for all I care.”
• Gale chuckles while Payne rolls his eyes, Soma just doesn’t care for everything, he only wants some glory and prestige for his pack. He sees her as the way to get the glory. Imagining pups with an immense power, and a Luna by his side, he doesn’t mind to share it with the two of them, he can even imagine watching her with them, doing some naughty sh*t in the bed.
• Trying so hard to regain his sanity, Gale took his tired body into the bed. Doing a mating ritual can drain your energy. He sleeps soundly beside Sky, dreaming about her while caught with her scent on the bed.
• Six hours later, Sky already felt so much better, her sound was not aching anymore, although now there was a symbol on her arm, where Gale bit her to put his mark. It becomes a tattoo with a weird drawing on it, although she doesn’t know the meaning of the symbol, as she brushes the mark.
• “It is Crimsontide coat of arm.” Said someone on the sofa. Sky turned around to see Soma, sitting lazily with his intense eyes looking straight at her. “There’s no pain anymore, right? it is because Gale’s mark already took its shape on your arm.”
• “So, every mark will be different?” Asked Sky again, she looked around but Gale and Payne were nowhere to be seen.
• “Yes, it will be different.” Soma answered her with a lazy tune, “Want some coffee? I am going to make one.”
• “Tea, please, I hate coffee or maybe hot chocolate?”
• He looked around the kitchenette and found a jar of cocoa powder, “Hot chocolate it is.”
• While Soma making her some hot chocolate, she took the time to go to the bathroom to wash her face. She nervously took a seat on the sofa and asked Soma about the missing Gale and Payne. “Where’s Sir Gale and Sir Payne?”
• “They went back to the surface, some business to attend to, don’t worry they will be back soon.” Said Soma while he handed the hot chocolate to Sky. “You need to train yourself, you should be able to sense Gale, after all, you’re mate with him now.”
• “I guess I do need to practice, I can seem to feel him for a bit, but I don’t know how to pinpoint his direction.” She tasted the hot chocolate and coughed, “Oh wow, it’s too sweet, do you happen to like sweet food?”
• His eyes caught at her, and with a little smirk on his face, Soma said, “Yes, I like everything sweet, including my woman.”
• Hiding her flustered after another teasing from him, Sky gruntled at Soma, “Ugh, can we just stop the teasing? And I think this is a good chance for us to do our mating ritual since I am already feeling better.”
• Soma put his cup of coffee on the table, he stood up in front of Sky, looking dominant with his muscular and fit body, “Alright, now, spread your leg, I want to mark you.” Said Soma as his eyes looked so hungry at her.
