• Megan noticed Oliver's sudden appearance, as if her quiet, unstoppable yearning had summoned him. He wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressed their bodies together, and kissed her cheek.
• “Why’d you change your mind?” he asked over the music. “And why are you just standing here?”
• Megan hesitated. Admitting that fear and jealousy had kept her from coming wasn’t very attractive. “I’m enjoying the view,” she replied. “I don’t think I’d mind spending half my time here instead of all of it at Liberty.”
