Chapter 9 The Erotic Dream - A Reality

• Jordan felt the blood rush to his face. It shocked him to realize that Michael, and of course Jake, were quite capable of perceiving such subtle changes. His breath caught. If so, at least they hadn't let it show. Or the new, even closer bond that was developing between them left them with neither time nor energy to concern themselves with anything other than their undying love.
• Jordan couldn't help but feel bitter. Sure, he too had loved, had felt a closeness, loved now too. He smiled as he realized how his brief stay in this secret hidden world had already changed his mode of expression if only the mental one. Only a few weeks ago this word and its meaning would have seemed absurd to him, overly esoteric, not one of the words he used consciously.
• But now, with the image of his two friends before his eyes, it had become a matter of course for him. A side door suddenly opened, orange-gold light pouring out of the crack, and Jordan stumbled forward in shock.
