Chapter 80 Rescue Operation

• Nice drive, we passed the beaches in San Rafael and I love to smell the fresh ocean air. I wish I had brought my surfboard so I could catch the fast waves, but instead, I followed their cars because I was on a mission. I wonder how mad Jake is at me right about now, I mean he must have realized by now that I’m missing.
• Oh and I know Manuel and Frederic probably hated my guts for leaving them on this adventure. Manuel was especially fascinated by the ability of werewolves to transform their body structures into a wolf. She always talked about how he wanted to study their shifts and record how it was possible because to us shadow hunters are still a mystery.
• I didn’t pay much attention to my surroundings now that I just realized I was on a road that was private and towards some house. Large trees clustered around the road so that it was impossible to see the house, and you could hear the faint sound of water in the nearby creek. As we drove away, the forest became darker and thicker with trees that seemed to have no place to escape from either side.
