Chapter 7 Pregnancy Scent (Seven)

• One week had passed since her little adventure in New Orleans. Stevi couldn't stop thinking about Killian and always smiled every time she thought about what they had done that night. Her sacrifice was worth it for a lifetime memory she will never forget. She received punishment from her mother after returning from New Orleans for coming home late. For a week she was locked in her room and not allowed to see her friends. Was not a problem at all. She was too lazy to meet her friends. She preferred to be left alone in her room to reminisce on Killian. Now she even missed him and always wondered what Killian was doing in his penthouse. Sometimes she thought what if that night Killian knew her true identity? Would Killian be scared or would he still touch her like that night?
• Stevi smiled and hugged the pillow. Her body shivered every time she thought of Killian and his touch. His fingers and mouth were the most incredible things she had ever tasted. Stevi pressed the pillow even more against her body and groaned softly when she felt the urgent need between her thighs. Unfortunately, she couldn't finish the pleasure without Killian by her side.
• Her parents didn't know her little secret so far. The hibiscus potion she hid in her jacket pocket managed to cover Killian's werewolf scent. Luckily her mother gave her the potion before she left for New Orleans. She was lazy to drink it because it was very bitter. But when she returned home, the potion was very useful to trick her parents. Cammile had suspected her when she drank the potion on the way home. But a few plausible explanations convinced Cammile that everything would be fine.
• "Stevi, why are you hugging a pillow like that?"
• “Mom!”
• Stevi was surprised. She jumped up from her bed and looked at her mother in embarrassment.
• “Mom. You surprised me."
• "I've knocked on your door many times. What are you doing?"
• “Just… just thinking about Jason.”
• Cybell's eyes narrowed at her daughter's face. She couldn't believe that Stevi was thinking about Jason. Stevi wasn't too enthusiastic about her arranged marriage with Jason. For the benefit of the pack, Stevi complied and didn't argue much. But it's clear that Stevi doesn't love Jason. She didn't love Jason yet.
• "You thinking about Jason?"
• “Because tomorrow we are going to hang out in town. Isn't today my punishment over?”
• “Tomorrow we are going to Atlanta for dinner with your father's colleagues. There is a new project and your father is heavily involved in it.”
• "So, Jason can't take me into town tomorrow?" Stevie's eyes twinkled.
• Cybell eyed her suspiciously. “You said you were thinking about Jason. You seem really pleased with the idea of ​​not seeing Jason tomorrow morning.”
• “I-I... It's not like that, Mom. I'm disappointed of course. But what can I do? Aren't I going to Atlanta with you guys?”
• "Your father wants to introduce his family to his business partner."
• “Hmm... we've gotten further away from the werewolf life since Dad was very successful in his business. Why don't we move to the city and live in a house with the humans? I can go to university and not have to marry Jason.”
• “We can't leave the pack. They need us to protect them.”
• “I'm tired of living in the middle of this annoying forest. There are no cinemas, no malls, no bars, and no fun places to go.”
• Stevi moves to the window of his room which is directly facing the Savannah Forest. The only view she got every day was leaves and towering trees that filled every inch of the forest area. Stevi propped her chin while watching the flock of birds that had just flown over the treetops.
• “Every year our numbers are decreasing and many members are being killed because of our enemies and the hunters. Your father has a very tough task to restore stability to the pack. Your marriage to Jason will be a breakthrough to strengthen the power between our clan and the Jason clan. We hope you will give birth to more werewolf babies.”
• Stevi snorted. She had always hated the idea that women had to stay at home to take care of the household and children. She wasn't a baby making machine! She had dreams and plans for her future. Stevi couldn't even imagine what if she got pregnant after marrying Jason.
• Stevi suddenly gasped as the reality hit her. Being too focused on imagining all the memories with Killian made her forget about the fact that she could be carrying Killian's baby. Stevi was too innocent and didn't know anything about sex. She had studied biology in a class about human reproduction, but it was supposed to be different from the werewolf reproductive system.
• “Why did you suddenly flinch like that?”
• “Just surprised to see a flock of birds emerge from behind the bushes. Mom, am I really going to get married in two months?”
• "What happened to you, Stevi? You look different after coming back from New Orleans. Cammile said you were so excited there that you wanted to stay there a little longer.”
• "That's right. I love New Orleans and the French Quarter. I wish I could live there and not have to rush into marriage. Humans my age don't get married and do what they like for their future. Why should I get married and become a passive woman?”
• "We're not human, Stevi. We don't have the same fate as them.”
• "How I wish I was born as a human."
• Cybell understood Stevi's anger. She had been hanging out with the humans for quite some time since Stevi had come to the school for humans. Stevi's mindset absorbs more of the human mindset and their lives which have begun to change since Hudson started a business with humans.
• “Even though our lives are slowly resembling human lives, we still cannot forget our responsibilities as werewolves. I regret that you were not destined as a human.”
• “I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm just... jealous of humans. They are free to choose their own life.”
• “Sometimes some people are not that lucky. You should think less about your little adventure in New Orleans and focus on your wedding preparations. You should start learning about werewolf mating and conception rituals.”
• Stevi swallowed nervously. The werewolf mating was even more terrifying now. She and Jason would have sex after the wedding and was witnessed by the werewolf elders. They would be witnesses that they have perfected their wedding rituals. at that time but what if Jason found out that he had lost his virginity?
• "I've studied it in biology class before."
• “That's different. You will study in the library with me.”
• “I won't have time because next week I have to go back to school. This is my last year. I want to spend more time with my friends.”

• Stevi was about to argue with her mother's words, but Cybell interrupted her first, “There's no reason whatsoever. Our time is very tight. I don't want you to embarrass our family on your wedding day."
• Stevi frowned sullenly. Her mother was the only person who was difficult to persuade. Even her father could be persuaded easily, while her mother could not.
• “Get ready to go to Atlanta tomorrow afternoon. Bring some dresses for a formal dinner.”

• “Like a pregnancy scent,” Cybelle muttered.
• "What's wrong, Mom?"
• “Nothing. Hurry up and pack, don't let me and your father down."
