Chapter 38 The Secret Chamber (Thirty Eight)

• Three days had passed quickly since Stevi spoke to Nicholas. But so far, Stevi hadn’t found where Killian kept Nicholas’s heart. Stevi had already searched all over the place, hoping that Killian had hidden it somewhere other than his secret room. But she did not find it. The only place Killian could have kept Nicholas’s heart was in his secret room. Unfortunately, infiltrating Killian's secret room was not easy. Killian had been coming home earlier from work and spending more time in his study. Stevi didn't talk to Killian much because they were still in the Cold War.
