Chapter 97

• I nodded and stepped out of the vehicle, taking slow steps till I was at her door. I glanced back and saw Slade watching me intently. If looks could kill, I’ll be six feet under already. I tapped gently on the old door before letting myself in. I’d expected her to be seated on her dirty floor like the last time, but she wasn’t. She stood by her table, mixing certain potions. Her hands were stained with different colors, and the smell in the air made me want to puke. I crossed my hands over my nose same time that she turned to me.
• A warm smile gradually spread across her lips “If it isn’t the Luna herself. I knew you’d come, you are so different from the arrogant Alpha,” she says, wiping her hands against a dirty rag.
• “You need to stop referring to me as Luna,” I scoffed, my mind wandering to Slade’s announcement at the meeting earlier on. Allegra chuckled, revealing her dimples. I didn’t think witches and oracles could smile, so I stood surprised for a second. If only she’d take proper care of herself, Allegra isn’t bad looking at all.
