Chapter 14

• When we were about to have breakfast, my morning sickness returned, so I ran to the sink near the dining table and threw up there. When I vomited, my head hurt, and my surroundings seemed to be spinning. Luckily, Lucas was quick to hold my body, which almost collapsed to the floor.
• Lucas took me to my room and laid me down on the bed. I closed my eyes and tried to ease my shaken state.
• "Don't go to the office if you're sick like this." Lucas gently rubbed the top of my head. Today, my team and I were going to give a presentation on the marketing methods for the new brand that was about to be launched. I was the one appointed to give the presentation.
