Chapter 10 Discrimination
- The meaning in Sophie’s eyes was obvious, Shane became angry. “Ms. Mercer, you’re the one who wanted this student. If you don’t take good care of her, you can just leave. Sophie was a new teacher who had just entered the school this year, and there were obviously better teachers. But only she was hired in the end. Shane left the matter of recruiting teachers to Wilson. It was true that he was about to retire. But just because he was about to retire didn’t mean that Wilson was in charge of this school. The day before yesterday, Reese called Shane and said he wanted to send his child to Shane’s school. Shane said okay without hesitation. But when he gave Wilson Valerie’s information, he didn’t state that Valerie was one of the Horton family.
- Shane just gave some basic information. Since he wanted to lure his target into the trap, he had to arrange everything in advance. However, this kid… Shane recruited the Horton family’s kid for his own plan. He had thought the Horton family’s kid would look noble, so the other people would not dare to look down on her. But after seeing Valerie and the communication between her and Kieran today, Shane was worried. He frowned slightly. Shane thought, “Has the Horton family run out of money? They can’t even afford to raise a child?” He was puzzled. Meanwhile, Sophie led Valerie toward the classroom.
- She strutted forward, her high heels hitting the ground. Valerie could only trot behind her. Every now and then, Sophie turned around and looked at the backpack on Valerie’s back. A pang of contempt ran through her heart. Sophie snorted. She thought, “What a vain family! They can’t afford to buy the latest clothes for her, but this backpack is the latest model. This bag will definitely follow her for six years.” Sophie regretted it so much. In Capstead, there are so many people surnamed Horton. She didn’t think she would be so lucky to meet the child of the Horton family. She was so enthusiastic yesterday and let Wilson secretly help her. Today after work, Sophie had to go to the hotel with him.
