• When Tyson decided to go back to LA, he knew he had to confront some ghosts and set things right but he didn't think that it would be quick. He wanted to take his time and watch people make fools of themselves before they got to know who he was.
• But now, by the way things were going, he had to expediate his plans. What with that fool John Warren wanting to lay his hands on Samantha and not talking about the damned Lewis family? Whenever he thought of how they treated Sam despite the fact that she was the most learned of them all and the most hardworking, he felt his blood boil.
• He knew that the reason why they treated her like dirt was because she married him and refused to get a divorce.
