Chapter 13 Seduce Him
- Aaron glanced at Simon's expression and politely spoke on his behalf.
- In reality, the contract was very generous, requiring no physical contact and providing a few billion dollars in cash and property.
- "I do have one condition," Ariana said, scanning the contract with a serious expression as she focused on Simon.
- Aaron's face immediately darkened. She finally reveals her true colors. What a greedy woman. With all that money, she still isn't satisfied. She really is after the position of the Hunt family's future hostress!
- Simon's gaze turned thoughtful, scrutinizing Ariana with more intensity.
- "Let's hear it," he said.
- "I was planning to hire someone to play along with me, so when I need you, you're expected to go along with it," Ariana said.
- Ariana believed the contract should be equal, requiring mutual cooperation.
- But to Simon, her words took on a different meaning, making it sound like she was being insatiably demanding.
- After a few seconds, a meaningful smile curled at the corners of Simon's mouth as he slowly said. "Fine, I agree."
- Ariana felt something was off but couldn't pinpoint it. Still, she signed the contract without hesitation.
- Ariana said, "Okay, I'll help you deal with your grandfather."
- With that, she followed the staff to the makeup room next door.
- As soon as she left, Aaron quickly spoke up. "Mr. Hunt, she wants you to cooperate unconditionally. She clearly has ulterior motives."
- Simon narrowed his eyes, a cold killing intent seeping from the corners of his gaze.
- The most pressing issue at hand was dealing with Martin.
- If she really didn't know her place, Simon wouldn't hold back.
- An hour later, just as Simon was starting to lose his patience, the door to the room was finally pushed open.
- "Is this fine?" A clear voice rang out, and Simon instinctively looked up.
- Their eyes locked, and for the first time, a hint of emotion flickered in his usually steady gaze.
- Ariana donned a white cocktail dress that accentuated her graceful curves, radiating a soft elegance.
- Her long hair was styled into a bun, making her look elegant yet playfully youthful.
- Her fair face and large, sparkling eyes radiated vitality.
- She looked fresh and refined, truly beautiful.
- Even Aaron, accustomed to seeing stunning celebrities, was momentarily taken aback.
- Ariana gently held the hem of her dress and did a twirl, raising an eyebrow at Simon with a playful smirk.
- "Handsome, what do you think of my outfit?" Ariana asked.
- She had put forth her best effort, choosing a style she knew the elders would love.
- Simon quickly averted his gaze, delivering a bland comment. "Not bad."
- Ariana's face fell instantly at his flat words.
- What a clueless guy! No wonder he's still single.
- The two left the salon and headed to the Hunt family.
- On the way, Aaron handed Ariana a thick stack of documents.
- He said, "Miss Ransom, only Martin will be at this dinner. The other relatives aren't in Willon City. So, you just need to familiarize yourself with Mr. Hunt's preferences and make sure not to slip up."
- Ariana said, "Oh, pass me a pen."
- Ariana took the documents and looked at Aaron, her tone carrying a hint of authority that made it hard to refuse.
- Aaron subconsciously handed her the pen, only to realize afterward that he had actually listen to her order.
- Ariana lowered her head and confidently wrote a few lines of bold text on the paper before shoving it into Simon's hands, raising an eyebrow.
- She said, "This is my personal preference. You should get to know it well. Don't embarrass me in front of my family in the future."
- They were both employers, so no one could boss anyone around unilaterally.
- "Alright," Simon responded indifferently, glancing at the paper and falling silent.
- Ariana initially intended to annoy Simon, but he accepted her request without a hitch.
- She found it rather dull and focused on the thick stack of documents instead, which read, "Simon, 27 years old, 6.1 feet tall, dislikes carrots..."
- "Turns out you don't like carrots either. I once knew a man who didn't like them either," Ariana blurted out instinctively, but Simon didn't even lift his head.
- Feeling bored, she decided not to say anything more and continued reading the documents.
- Meanwhile, Simon focused on a line in the document, his dark eyes half-squinted.
- In a daze, his mind drifted back ten years.
- He had been kidnapped and lost his sight, ending up in an orphanage.
- The other children bullied him for being blind. Only one little girl always stayed by his side.
- Yet, during mealtimes, she would sneakily pick out the cilantro from his bowl.
- "Why don't you eat cilantro?"
- "Hey, how do you know? Can you see?"
- "I can hear."
- "Sorry, but don't you think cilantro is the worst-tasting thing in the world?"
- Simon never expected to see those exact words again ten years later.
- Simon raised an eyebrow, his gaze complex as he studied Ariana.
- "Did you ever go to Rivera Orphanage ten years ago?" Simon asked.
- He had clearly investigated, yet he still asked.
