Chapter 1 Twisted Fate

• Under the blazing sun, cheers and shouts filled the air on the playground of Jadeville High School. The basketball game on the court was reaching its final moments, and the spectators constantly cheered.
• Several beautiful young girls were seated on the bleachers, and a young man dressed in a white shirt was standing next to them.
• Next to him was a gorgeous girl, her light brown long ponytail gently curled, draping over her shoulders. Her skin was fair, and her features were highly delicate. Her appearance was like that of the most beautiful and pure angel. Yet, her smile was quite sinister as she raised her hand and smashed the unwrapped ice cream straight onto the young man, looking mischievous.
• "It's all melted. How am I supposed to eat this now?"
• The chocolate-coated ice cream splashed onto the young man's chest, dribbling down his clothes and making a mess of his white shirt.
• The young man's profile was exquisitely like something out of a comic book, with eyes lowered and dark lashes casting shadows on his eyelids, giving him a silent and sad demeanour.
• Noticing the disarray on his clothes, he stayed quiet, just standing there in silence.
• The girls next to the curly-haired girl were first surprised, then showed gleeful and amused expressions, all agreeing with each other.
• "Look, it's completely melted. Did you do this on purpose?"
• "Seriously, Noelle got you to do her errands, and this is what you come back with. Is this how you show your thanks?"
• Among the girls' murmurs, the girl who had just arrogantly smashed the ice cream on the boy suddenly felt bewildered. She seemed slightly confused, shook her head, blinked, and was immediately astonished and puzzled upon reopening her eyes.
• As she saw the boy drenched in the melted ice cream she had smashed on him, Noelle couldn't believe her eyes, yet she had no choice but to face the reality. Her adventure as a novice employee in the time-space restoration department had officially begun.
• This was her first mission, set in the world of the novel 'Queen of the Entertainment Circle,' featuring the female lead, Madeline Sinclair. She portrays the role of the scheming antagonist, Noelle Sinclair, who happens to be Madeline's cousin.
• With her mixed heritage, Noelle had few distinguishing features but was known for her beauty.
• She grew up in Yumera with her parents. Still, after her mom, Lindsey Sinclair, divorced her foreign husband, Lewis Norman, she returned to her home country. This left Noelle to live with her dad overseas.

As she watched the dazzling and romantic scene of Liam and Madeline's engagement on a screen, she staggered away in a daze, trying to flee but tragically ended up caught under a passing car, marking the abrupt end to her troubled life.
