• The longer Matthieu stared at Finnley, the more familiar he seemed. He was sure he'd seen him somewhere before, but the details eluded him. Now wasn't the time for idle thoughts, though. This young man had come to his doorstep, taken down his people, and was making outrageous demands. Retreating now would be out of the question.
• "So, what do you want to do about this?" Matthieu narrowed his eyes, a strange glint flashing in them.
• "Pay up," Finnley said, waving the bill in his hand. "I was asking for 100 million earlier, but now it seems we need to reevaluate."
