Chapter 94 Burnt To Ashes
- After Syl's revelation of his plan for Marko, he left the villa with Oliver, ordering me to stay inside no matter what. The whole property was surrounded by guards. After the accident Syl was silent because his whole focus was on me, but now he wasn't going to keep quiet. Vincenzo had no idea who he was dealing with. Though I had no doubt Syl wouldn't let him live for long, I also had a fear for us. Hearing Diana's words, I couldn't underestimate Vincenzo at all.
- After all, he managed to get his threat inside De Sylvano Mansion by using the cleaning lady who visited the mansion twice a week. She was a loyal servant for years, but she went ahead and put the portrait on flames even after knowing she would get caught. As per Maria, the lady was threatened with her son's life and forced to do so. If not for Maria's getting alert with fire alarms, the portrait would get burnt to ashes, burning the whole room down.
- Knowing the cleaning lady was aware of every corner of De Sylvano Mansion like the back of her hand, Syl didn't want me to stay there until he dealt with Vincenzo. The mansion was in a secluded place of the city, so attacks wouldn't be difficult to happen. With not many people around, the risk increased. But this villa had a beautiful neighborhood with the right security. Even the guards were from higher ranks and trusted.
