She wanted to believe that it was all a mix-up, that the person in front of her, perfectly dressed, and smiling from ear to ear, couldn't be Andrea's dead wife, she really wanted to believe it, but, seeing Andrea's pale face, Amber realized that she was the deceased woman who was married to the man she loved. That man who had come into her life in a casual, simple, and above all surprising way, the owner of her first times, the owner of her joy and... the father of the child growing in her womb.
Amber was static, unable to move. The next thing he saw was the woman approaching Andrea and kissing her lips, in front of her, on her lips! Amber felt her whole being contract, she felt that the air in the garden, despite how open it was, was little for the difficulty of her breathing. She grabbed the small box with the pregnancy test and put it on her back. A lump settled in her throat, she wanted to speak, but she couldn't articulate a whisper, she felt her legs trembling and her lips moving like when you're cold, in such a painful way, that, if Andrea had been able to see her, she would surely have hugged her.
Astrid took Andrea's face and began to kiss him in such a passionate way.
