Chapter 47: HOW IS YOUR FATHER NOW?

• They finally arrived at the hospital - the largest one in this city. Standing outside the ward with the best equipment, they saw only Emma sitting inside through the glass window of the door. It seemed that she was crying. Mrs. Thomas pushed the door and came in, which stunned Emma. She stood up right away, sobbed and said, “Mom, Charles, Sarah. You came.”
• “How is your father now?” Mrs. Thomas asked.
