Chapter 63
- Lexie woke up in the same room she had grown to dread, eyes droopy, lips dry, body overly weak. Her hands were shackled above her head, feet restrained to the floor and though she wasn't sure how to feel about her current position, she was certain that fear was what she felt most.
- Fear of what to come, fear of who he had become, so much fear that she felt as though it was stifling her. It was settled around her neck, tightening as the seconds ticked by, it was like a snake, slithering down her skin, planning to eat her alive.
- It was frustrating, to fear the person you were once so comfortable around and it was sad to still think that everything he did up until now was just a slip up.
