Chapter 270 A Big Short's Prisoner

  • The opening of the Santos Group subsidiary would be one day later. As the owner, Leonard drove to the branch that day. The building of the subsidiary was imposing. As Leonard stepped out of his car, he spotted Gracia and Arlene already arrived. Inside the company's lobby, employees were bustling about. Although the official opening was still a day away, all tasks were being carried out systematically. "Mr. Santos, your visit is quite a rare occasion," Gracia teased. To be honest, Gracia had never encountered a boss like Leonard. He was so hands-off and entrusted the entire company's operations to her.
  • While it showed Leonard's trust in her, she couldn't resist making a few complaints. "Gracia, you're a business expert, so I won't meddle." Leonard chuckled as he walked into the company. Upon learning that Gracia, the head of the parent company, had arrived, the person in charge of the subsidiary hurried out to greet them. When he saw Leonard, he exclaimed in surprise, "Could this be our boss?" Despite being the head of the subsidiary, he had never met Leonard, the behind-the-scenes boss.
  • They entered the meeting room. With Leonard's arrival, the person in charge immediately summoned the branch managers, hoping Leonard would say a few words of encouragement. Leonard, however, kept it brief, offering some words of encouragement and then letting everyone disperse. Once everyone had left, he wiped the sweat from his forehead. He couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable in such situations. "Mr. Santos, you had the Walton family in Imperial City under your thumb, yet I didn't expect that speaking in front of your employees made you nervous!" Gracia teased.
