Chapter 15 Aileen's Boyfriend

• Aileen forced herself to wake up, her eyes slowly adjusting to the blurry surroundings of a hotel room. She realized someone had changed her clothes into a beige pajama set. Overwhelmed by the effects of alcohol, she felt her grip on reality slipping away.
• In an attempt to regain control, she pinched her thigh, jolting herself back to awareness. She reached for her phone and dialed a police officer she knew, having made prior arrangements with him. It was important to inform him of the situation.
• Struggling to stand, Aileen stumbled into the bathroom and turned on the shower, letting the cold water wake her up. The chilling sensation briefly kept her alert.
