Aileen had no chance to react.
The woman glanced at Aileen from the corner of her eye before turning to Alvin. Her voice was calm but contained a hint of disdain. "Why did you bring her home? Don't you think it's inappropriate?"
Beth knew there was a woman in the house when she arrived. She noticed the empty beer bottles on the coffee table and packets of contraception.
