Chapter 31

• Sophia knocks on her door with a demure manner, patiently waiting while the woman inside hastens to open it, unaware of what awaits her. The urgency in her movements makes Sophia wonder if she expects the return of Leon, and a smirk forms as she finds satisfaction in knowing that she is not him. As the door is yanked open, the woman's initially expectant expression and questioning look instantly crumble, giving way to shock. She gasps openly and recoils in fear, taken aback by Sophia's presence. She is clearly unsure of how to react.
• "May I come in?" Sophia raises a brow, her tone relaxed and poised, nodding in the direction behind the woman.
• "Why? I have nothing to say to you," the woman's defensiveness surfaces instantly. She moves to shut the door, but Sophia firmly catches it with her hand and pushes it hard, knocking the woman back with unexpected force.
