Chapter 24 - Bloodwork

• Jason comes crashing into the hospital room while I am trying to gather up the courage to discuss the possible causes for my (for want of a better word) ‘visions’ of my lost loved ones as well as the reason behind my fall down the stairs, since I don’t want to put my pups at risk, so I need to know what to do to stop this from happening again. I have made the connection that the visions began around the time of conception so it might be something the pups are causing, but I still need to know so that I can prevent them from happening in the future and potentially injuring myself or them. What if I have a vision of my mother, they are so realistic that I have caught myself moving towards the apparition, and I step in front of a moving vehicle, or I could trip and fall down the stairs, or, well, the possibilities are endless, as are the dangers. So I was just about to confess my worries to Jack and Felix when the door bursts open and Jason practically falls through it in his haste.
• “Jack,” he breathes heavily as though he has run the whole way here, “Brian and the others, they were all captured, every single one of them.”
