  • Kelley looked at the email and read it again. Why was he reaching out after three years? The police investigation had grown cold because there had been no evidence to corroborate Petey Johnson’s version of events.
  • People had seen Kelley at the nightclub and his phone had pinged from the towers across the street. His car hadn’t left St. John’s City and Kelley knew that it had been closed as accidental, Petey’s license revoked and him being left paralyzed from the waist down.
  • It had been a good day. Kelley smiled at the memory. Petey wanted to meet, that night in fact, at his house in Yorkdare Bay. The Johnson’s still lived in town and Petey now ran the online division of his father’s marketing company.
