Chapter 14 To Bill And Coo

• Chu Meng suddenly realized how gluttonous she must look. Aiming to return the favor, she quickly placed a chicken leg in Situ Yun's bowl, “You eat some too.”
• Situ Yun's smile got even brighter.
• Seeing that smile and how sweet the two were acting toward each other, Situ Han felt his appetite leave him. Placing his chopsticks down heavily, he stood up and left for upstairs without a word, leaving a confused Chu Meng and slyly smiling Situ Yun.
• “What's wrong with your brother?”
• Situ Yun spooned up some soup and brought it to her mouth, “Him? He's probably just tired from too much work, possibly having a midlife crisis. Ignore him, let's continue eating.”
• Distracted by his response, Chu Meng did not realize she had opened her mouth until her lips clamped down on the spoon. Immediately taking the spoon from him, she gave an embarrassed laugh, “Thanks, I can eat by myself.”
• Situ Yun held his cheek with one hand as his eyes crinkled in a smile, “Chu Chu, has anyone ever told you how absolutely adorable you look when you blush?”
• Chu Meng blushed even harder in response. Mentally, she made a note to herself that Situ Yun was most definitely a ladies' man! All it took was a few sentences to reveal his roguish nature.
• Situ Yun poked her arm with his chopsticks, “Honestly though, what is your relationship with my brother? You're not really his lover, are you?”
• Cough cough! Chu Meng choked at his words as she quickly shook her hands in a negative manner, “Of course not! We don't have any kind of relationship. I'm just here to stay a few days and then I'll leave.”
• Situ Yun stroked her head like he would a pet, “That's good. You really mustn't fall in love with him because he already has somebody he likes. Any other woman is only going to get hurt.”
• Chu Meng clutched the soap bowl tighter as she blinked thoughtfully. The woman Situ Han likes is probably the name he kept calling out that night, Yunqian.
• Situ Han was furious. That woman really was unbelievable, sinking her claws into Situ Yun so easily and so quickly.
• The two of them were still billing and cooing in the dining room - it was absolutely disgusting and shameless!
• The moment two weeks came to pass and they confirmed she was not pregnant; he was kicking her out of the house immediately!
• Situ Han was sulking in his room when suddenly, there was a knocking sound at the door and Chu Meng walked in carefully. She was holding a bowl of hot soup as she smiled in a friendly manner, “You didn't really eat anything just now. Have some soup or you'll get so hungry that you won't be able to sleep later.”
• Situ Han lifted his head to glance at her but otherwise ignored her.
• With no acknowledgement from him, this was getting awkward.
• Swallowing her embarrassment, she placed the bowl on his table but did not leave. Seeing this, Situ Han asked in a cold voice, “Is there anything else?”
• He finally acknowledged her.
• Chu Meng quickly took a seat in front of him, her posture open and friendly as she asked, “If after two weeks it turns out that I really am pregnant, what do you plan to do?”
• Situ Han did not hesitate, “Abort it.”
• Chu Meng breathed deeply. Even though she had already expected this answer, she still wanted to try and convince him otherwise. In a cajoling tone of voice, she said, “Could you maybe let me keep it? I promise I won't cause you any trouble. I'll resign, leave this place and find somewhere where nobody knows us to raise this kid.”
• The more she talked, the more agitated she became, “Just think of it as doing a good deed by donating your sperm to me. Absolutely no pressure at all!”
• Situ Han looked at her like she was stupid, “Do you take me for a three-year-old child?” Other than Yunqian, all the other women who got close to him were either after his money or status. This woman was making everything sound so easy, but he was sure that when she actually gave birth to the child, she would use it against him someday!
• In desperation, Chu Meng held her hand up to make an oath, “I'm telling the truth. If you don't believe me, I can make a vow. I promise if anything I say is untrue in any way, I will be struck by lightning! If you still don't believe me, we can sign an agreement. I guarantee you when the baby is born, we will leave and never bother you again!”
• Situ Han fixed his dark gaze on her, taking in her anxiousness and the hopeful expression on her face. After several beats, he quirked his lips in a mocking smile, “I have to admit, you really are good at acting.”
• Chu Meng rolled her eyes, “Do you really think any woman who gets close to you is after your money? I'm beginning to think you have a severe case of paranoia, I suggest you go see a psychiatrist!”
• Situ Han stared at her with a calm look on his face. Suddenly, his lips twitched, “Trying to use reverse psychology on me? It's just too bad that won't work on me.”
• Chu Meng was speechless. She finally knew just how scary pig-headed men could be - they would not believe a single thing you said no matter what you did. “What can I do to make you believe me?”
