Chapter 9
- Owen’s throat tightened as he saw Leena appear. If he ever needed to describe a mythical Avalon goddess, she would be the image in his mind. Her long hair feathered out around her as she walked slowly towards him. His eyes moved over her and he smiled when they went back to her face. Her smile told him how happy she was, and to him that was all that mattered.
- She stopped at the north outside the circle, watching him walk toward her. The expression on her face told him that he looked just as good to her. As he stepped in front of her he reached down and caressed her cheek and lowered his mouth to lightly kiss hers.
- “I love you,” he whispered against her cheek.
