- The acidic odor burns my nostrils, the question swimming at the forefront of my thoughts, and it leaves me unsettled. My stomach twists, turns, and I cannot hold back any longer as more food forces its way up and into the trash can. Tears drip down my cheeks, snot covers my mouth, and I look like a hot mess.
- Davina’s walking around me, her hand off my back as she collects stuff around the kitchen. Everything makes its way to the surface, my body shaking, knees filled with jelly. My muscles ache, they’re tense and shaky as I try to stand upright.
