• In the pause, while I waited for Randy’s answer, the silence seemed to drag on like something physical. How could it take so long to spit out such important words? Had we killed that bastard of a wizard or not?
• “I didn’t get to it myself,” Randy said. “I’m actually on my way to confirm now. Julianne’s husband, Peter, got ahold of Martin. He was the closest, and after we told him about Julianne being abused by the Huntsman, I’m sure he wanted a chance to take him down.”
