Chapter 6 Drop Out
- Janet looked at the principal at Star High School. "Mr. Palmer, if I apologize, does that mean I won't have to leave school?"
- "Well..." Nicholas was a bit hesitant, glancing at Harriet.
- Harriet snorted. "You must leave even if you apologize. Star High School doesn't need students with such… mediocrity."
- "Yes! Expulsion is a must!"
- Jennifer nodded vigorously, never having been challenged like this before.
- If this matter was simply brushed aside, how could she continue to assert her dominance in school?
- Janet couldn't help but chuckle. "Since expulsion is necessary, why should I apologize? Furthermore, Mr. Palmer, did you just assume I was at fault without even investigating?"
- "Or… is it that Star High School is run by the Lewis Family, and you, as a principal, are a mere figurehead? You're unable to stand up for students with a fair word?"
- As Janet spoke, her eyes grew sharp and piercing.
- Nicholas felt as if he was being criticized for being opportunistic and superficial in the face of those eyes. He felt his authority being challenged.
- "Janet, are you questioning me?" Nicholas asked in exasperation.
- "Yes, exactly." Janet nodded slightly, her demeanor cold and composed.
- Such composure was not something an ordinary person could possess.
- Nicholas hesitated for a moment. However, he still felt pressured by Harriet's presence. She exclaimed sharply, "Mr. Palmer, look at your student! She's showing no respect for her elders. Why keep someone like her in the school?"
- "If you're unwilling to act, I'll have my men come and teach her a lesson!"
- Harriet had brought people with her. They were four strong men who stood over six feet tall, exuding an imposing aura.
- Her daughter had been bullied, and she was determined to get revenge!
- "Throw her out of the school and make it permanent!"
- Harriet shrieked, while Jennifer stood by, smiling triumphantly.
- Emily, who had been eavesdropping outside the door, chuckled to herself. "Janet, you've been expelled from school after just two days. What else do you have to compete with me?"
- Jennifer was someone she had recruited, but she hadn't expected such a good outcome.
- Emily skipped away happily.
- Inside the room, Janet narrowed her eyes. "Are you going to take action?"
- Her hand slipped into her pocket, where she had a few silver needles. She could knock down these strong men with a wave of her hand.
- The men closed in, and Nicholas turned away, no longer intending to intervene.
- Jennifer smiled smugly.
- Just then, there was a knock on the office door.
- "Mr. Palmer, are you there?"
- Everyone inside the room froze.
- Nicholas opened the door and saw Gordon standing there.
- Gordon was a prominent figure at the school, having risen to fame in just three years. He had acted in several movies, starred in various TV dramas. Most importantly, he was a rare young heartthrob singer. His song "Starry Night" had won him the Youth Golden Melody Award, catapulting him to stardom.
- He was dressed in a white tracksuit. However, his slender figure and perfect body proportions were still accentuated.
- As soon as Gordon appeared, the entire area erupted with excitement.
- "Young Master Yaleman is here at school today. He's so handsome!"
- "But why is he here at this time?"
- "He must be here to speak up for Jennifer. The school hunk with the campus belle is a perfect match."
- "Mr. Palmer."
- Gordon glanced at Janet after entering the room. His eyes lit up before he turned to Nicholas. "I know who made the first move."
- Jennifer approached Gordon immediately and uttered, "Young Master Yaleman, Janet is from the countryside. She suffered from a bad reputation in her previous schools and just a few days after she started her studies in Star High School, she began to hit me—"
- As she spoke, she started to sob. When she cried, she purposely turned her face away, leaving her most beautiful angle for Gordon.
- She had fancied Gordon for a long time. Alas, Gordon was indifferent to all the girls, including her. So, she never had the chance to get close to him.
- However, Gordon ignored her and looked at the principal. "Sir, I saw that it was Jennifer who made the first move."
- Upon hearing his words, Janet was a little stunned.
- The crowd around them were even more shocked. "It turns out that Young Master Yaleman is not here to speak on behalf of Jennifer."
- Jennifer had never expected that he wasn't here for her, but rather to help Janet instead, which made her expression become darker. "Sir, I—"
- He cast her a cold look and indifferently said, "I saw it with my own eyes that it was Jennifer who came to our class to yank Janet away! She initially intended to bully her, but was beaten up by Janet instead."
- Jennifer widened her eyes in disbelief. "That's impossible! You weren't even there! You couldn't have seen it!"
- "Are you implying that I'm lying?"
- Gordon stared at Jennifer coldly, his imposing figure exuding pressure.
- He was a celebrity. How could he possibly lie for some girl?
- Everyone fell silent.
- Jennifer's lips trembled, unable to speak. Why was Gordon standing up for that wench?
- Was it because she was pretty?
- Nicholas cleared his throat, trying to defuse the situation. "Since Gordon has come forward as a witness, let's just leave it at that. Everyone, please return to your classrooms."
- Jennifer shook her head with her red eyes before attempting to leave the office.
- "I have a question. Hitting a person will ruin the school's reputation whereas slandering is also a sign of moral corruption. Now, don't they make up to me and expel her from school instead?" Janet's words had caused the room to fall into deathly silence.
