Chapter 8 A Waiter

  • I ran into the restaurant.
  • "Oh, you are here and you came a bit late," Vivian said to me.
  • I nodded mindlessly and walked sluggishly to drop my bag and change my clothes.
  • I still feel sad about Kyle, I felt I have done something wrong to my first friend and I must make it up to him tomorrow.
  • "There are only a few customers today because the rain is about to fall, so many people won't show up,” Vivian said to me when I returned downstairs.
  • "Oh," I just muttered.
  • I'm not even concerned or worried about the number of customers here... My whole mind was on Kyle.
  • There's this feeling one feels when someone is staring at you too much, I'm feeling that way now. I turned to see who it was, it was him, that pervert, Gary or what name did Vivian call him yesterday?
  • Is he insane? I signaled to him that I was gonna punch him but the idiot smiled and licked his lips.
  • I looked around in search of who to attend to but there was none, Felix just attended to the last person.
  • I went to sit in that enclosed corner and began to think of how to get along with Kyle again, seriously, I don't know what I'd done wrong yet I felt guilty.
  • "Hello babe" I heard a male voice standing in front of me -say.
  • I looked up to see who it was.
  • Felix.
  • "Don't call me babe" I said. It might well up feelings for him too. He is handsome with kind gestures at that, I refrained from drool.
  • Felix smiled and sat beside me.
  • "Is anything wrong Audrey? You look so worried and heartbroken" He said.
  • I gasped, Heartbroken?
  • "Did you fight with your boyfriend?" He asked me.
  • "Boyfriend? No. He is just a friend, I met him just yesterday and we became close. Somehow, something happened today, no nothing happened" I rushed the words, so I had to pause: "But he is so angry with me" I briefly explained to him.
  • "Your... Crush" Felix said and I hit him hard on his shoulder.
  • I'm not crushing on him, right? Or am I?
  • "No" I blurted.
  • "Haha, I caught you. Don't deny it, you like the guy if you don't, you won't feel this way at all" Felix laughed at me and instantly, I regretted telling him. I tend to like almost every guy by the way, but I know for sure that is mere infatuation. Sooner or later, I'll find who I truly like.
  • "Do you want me to help? " He finally asked.
  • "No" I rolled my eye at him and moved away from him. He adjusted to where I sat, mistakenly placing his palm on mine and my heart beat faster. I looked up at him his eyes were so cute with one sweetest smiles ever. Oh My, he is so handsome too.
  • Don't forget, I have a crush on so many guys at once.
  • "I can see you two are flirting" Vivian came and said.
  • I quickly took my hand off his "Vi...vian" I stammered.
  • "Um, I came to tell you that your classmate, the wealthy but rude one is here. I don't wanna attend to him and Felix too, he prefers to attend to the female customers. So it's over to you" Vivian said to me.
  • Ok, I stood up and walked to where the customers were having their meal.
  • I squinted my eyes to search for him. I
  • I found him, his table was far away from where he sat yesterday.
  • Oh My God, Simon. He looks so handsome. More handsome when he's not putting on a uniform.
  • My cheeks reddened, and I began to drool.
  • While I was still standing there and staring at him, he caught me doing so and he began to stare back at me too

  • Kyle's POV
  • I entered the house -only to meet the usual event, Dad and Mom yelling at each other. I'm so sure this house is gonna collapse one day.
  • I put on my headset and headed to my room right away, I didn't even bother going to the kitchen to get my dinner because. I have no appetite.
  • I played on my bed- So tired and sad.
  • What have I done?
  • I need to work on this habit of getting angry unnecessarily.
  • Do I have to snub Audrey all day just because she was staring at my worst enemy?
  • Not just staring, she looked like she... Oh no, I think I'm the jealous one. Jealous that one day, Simon could use his wealth to have Audrey when she belongs to me, yeah Audrey and I deserve each other because we both have something in common.
  • Simon already has almost all the girls, she shouldn't look at him that way.
  • Seriously am I supposed to snub a girl like her?
  • The same girl I liked at first sight especially when she told me about her background.
  • Ah, she might hate me after the way I treated her, I've got to apologize to her tomorrow... Tomorrow?
  • Why not now? After all, I know where she works.
  • I stood up and changed into a hoodie. Looks like the rain is about to fall heavily, so I quickly took an umbrella and left the house. My parents won't even ask where I am going when rain is about fall -because they were busy, busy quarreling. I'm sure the kid they are quarreling over for will be happy where ever he is ..of course, he would be so happy he isn't staying in a quarrelsome home like this.
  • Audrey's POV
  • "Pasta, cheese, chicken" Simon ordered " As take home" He added.
  • It should be because of the rain that's the reason why he can't wait to have some now and eat.
  • When I turned to go get his order, he suddenly said "I wonder when there would be a menu list instead of some crazy people coming to ask for what I want" He said.
  • "I'm not crazy" I murmured.
