Chapter 2 Go To Abraham High School
- "The world has experienced many shifts. Plastic surgery is no longer something interesting. Furthermore, humans have gone crazy with DNA altering operations in their bodies."
- "Currently, the world is dominated by the werewolf race who lead life. They are strong, intelligent, and have a long life."
- "It all started from a long war between humans and werewolves. Technological developments also prompted the pure human race to consciously change themselves to become werewolves. Everything is done only to gain all power and eternal life."
- "For the pure human race which lost the battle, they retained their original form. The pure human race has to survive in very few poor and marginalized places. If they wish to survive, then this pure human race must be willing to live the life of the slaves of those werewolves."
- Jonea scanned the v-tube channel to a different medium. A narrator's voice in a business video echoes in Jonea's small and simple room. The narrator conveys the profiles and achievements of the country's largest companies.
- "Abraham Group was selected as the project holder for constructing the new capital city in this country. Despite the global recession since the economic boom in the Blue Sapphire country, this group of companies continues to grow globally."
- "The dominance of the Abraham Group has strengthened since the last year. After wealthy national and global class entrepreneurs from some werewolf packs decided to join forces and form an alliance with Pack Abraham."
- Jonea changed the channel. A news narrator also broadcasts something similar.
- "From electronics, cars, distribution, to communications. Abraham Group has become the country's largest and most well-known household goods brand."
- On the monumental day when the company reached $10 billion in export value, the company's chief executive was invited to the presidential building. Instead of receiving an award, the prominent director and the alpha even told the president he wanted to build a school for his grandchildren."
- "Abraham's private educational institutions began to be built 5 years ago. There is no such big school in the land of Blue Sapphire. The school is known as the most elite, and only students from the werewolf or upper-class humans can receive an education there. However, thanks to the generosity of the alpha, this school has begun to open up opportunities for outstanding students in this country to get scholarships and pursue full education there."
- Jonea turned off the v-tube channel on her laptop. She had scoured as many references as possible about Abraham's high school profile to learn about it.
- "Unfortunately, no one knows," said Jonea. "That behind the walls of an elite school and the envy of many people out there hides terrible rot."
- Jonea clenched her fists. She gripped the makeup brushes in her hands until they crunched and snapped. Jonea is doing her makeup in front of the mirror. The girl's hands were skilled at creating shading on her face while occasionally glancing at the close-up photo of Miler that she stuck in the mirror.
- "Finally, my passion for painting and making character makeup comes in handy too."
- The girl put the broken blush brush on the table and admired her handiwork. She already had the exact same face as Miller's. Jonea also wore Miller's Abraham High School uniform.
- "Just the final touches," Jonea muttered.
- She smoothed her cropped hair and styled it exactly like Miller's. She is ready to go to Abraham High School to replace Miller after the summer break. Now, her appearance really resembles Miller.
- "Ah, glasses," Jonea muttered.
- Jonea had planned the disguise since the start of summer vacation three months ago. Since Miller was lying in the hospital, a state almost paralyzed his body due to bullying at his school.
- "I'm willing to take time off from art school to find the perpetrators and avenge them."
- Jonea grabbed her bag and rushed out of the room. At the door, she was greeted by Mrs Fallon's hysterical screams.
- "Jonea! What do you think you're doing?"
- Mr Fallon came out of the room when he heard the commotion. "Miller?"
- "He's not Miller," said Mrs Fallon. "She... our Jonea!"
- "I will temporarily replace Miller at Abraham High School. Don't we want him to lose his scholarship? After all, Miller had worked hard up until this point. I promise, when he recovers later, he can retake his place."
- "But, Jonea... How about your own school?" Mrs Fallon looked agitated and worried. "And I'm afraid you will go through the same thing with Miller. Don't go, Jonea! I'm going to transfer Miller to a new school!"
- Jonea shook her head. She wanted to please Miller. "This is the only good thing I can do for Miller. Please don't block me. I promise I'll take care of myself. I'm a taekwondo black belt, remember?"
- Mr Fallon rolled his eyes in disbelief.
- "Please, Dad. I'll turn the whole thing around when Miller is back on his feet and off to school. I will look for even the tiniest piece of evidence!"
- Jonea's parents were speechless. They could only hug Jonea tightly before she took a bag full of clothes and headed to Abraham High School's dormitory.
- On the bus ride to school, Jonea kept going through the notes she had made and learned everything she had to remember about Abraham High School. She had memorized the faces and names of Miller's friends and teachers and a map of the locations in the school.
- The school building can be seen in the distance. Jonea was stunned to see the splendour of the building. After getting off at the bus stop in front of the school, Jonea walked calmly along the sidewalk, entering the school gate.
- When Jonea was about to reach the gate, she saw many luxury cars arriving. They were all students—children of the country's wealthy and conglomerate businessmen. More importantly, most of them came from the werewolf race.
- Jonea felt nauseous for a moment.
- "So…," Jonea muttered while glancing at the luxury cars pacing back and forth through the school gate, "Which one has made Miller suffer?"
- Punch!
- Someone bumped into Jonea from behind. The girl almost fell over.
- "Are you blind?" shouted the male student who bumped into Jonea. "You are standing in the middle of the road and getting in the way of others!"
- Jonea was annoyed but immediately stood up straight and turned to the figure.
- The student was silent and pale when he looked at Jonea.
- "You-"
- He wanted to say something but stopped when he glanced at the circumstances around him. He became nervous and quickly left Jonea.
- Jonea clenched her fists. "So… he knows Miller? Oh, he's Michael. Miller's classmate and roommate in the dormitory. How could I forget? Even though I had memorized the photo and the name. Wait!"
- Michael walked very fast. He tried to avoid Jonea, who disguised himself as Miller.
- Jonea chased Michael though with a faltering step. She lost track after the young man turned into one of the buildings.
- Jonea stopped short of breath. Some students teased and looked at Jonea contemptuously. They made fun of her like disgusting shit. Jonea ignored everyone's cynical looks and kept walking, looking for Michael.
- When Jonea crossed one of the doorways, something suddenly shot toward her. It was thrown by someone.
- "Rotten eggs?"
- Jonea stared at the egg that flew right into her face.
