Chapter 4 Unwelcomed Here
- Chapter 4
- The morning sun had barely peeked over the horizon when I stepped out of my motel room, my mind already buzzing with plans for the day's investigation. After my confrontational meeting with the town sheriff, I knew I needed to take a different approach if I wanted to uncover the truth about the disappearances in Willowbrook.
- Then I made my way down the deserted Main Street, I couldn't help but notice the eerie silence that hung over the town. The few early risers I walked pass offered me wary glances, quickly averting their eyes and hurrying on their way. It was as if the very air was charged with an undercurrent of unease, a palpable tension that set my nerves on edge.
