Chapter 19 The Witch's Legacy

• The flock was in disarray from the fight. Their ranks were shocked and left unsettled by Rendell's death. Olivia and Esker understood they had to move fast to reunite the pack and establish their leadership.
• Gazing out over the assembled wolves, Esker stood at the edge of the council room. Among themselves, they were whispering, some of them still obviously disturbed by what had happened. Olivia was standing next to him, a soothing presence.
• Olivia said, a little worriedly, "We need to address the pack." They want to hear from us.
