Chapter 5 I'll Do It

  • Valeria and Ergon both walked to the classroom. After their argument and everything, she found out they were in the same department, so he decided to take her there.
  • "Remember you're my girlfriend." Ergon muttered, inaudibly.
  • "Girlfriend my foot!" Valeria scoffed.
  • Ergon smirked, he'd already drafted his plans,. Besides, his friends must have spread the news all around the class.
  • The minute she stepped foot into the classroom, Ergon quickly grabbed her hands. She tried to protest but he held her tightly.
  • Professor Wax paused what he was doing and stared at them. The students in the class all began murmuring inaudibly. They were wondering if what Jason told them was probably true.
  • "Silence!." Professor Wax yelled and the class became quiet.
  • "Where have you been, Ergon? You are one pain in the ass!" The teacher slowly took his gaze at Valeria, who was standing beside him.
  • "And you're...?."
  • "Valeria Startam." She uttered.
  • "Oh the new student, welcome to Prestige High, there's no need for you to introduce yourself because it seems you're quite popular." Professor Wax said. He glared at Ergon after taking a quick glance at Ergon who was holding Valeria. He didn't want to distinguish the fact that she was a student on a scholarship.
  • "Darn it!." Valeria cussed inwardly, she felt like devouring Ergon, she wanted to live a quiet life in school, if possible a shadow of her own self, but now, the 3 cure strange boy just ruined everything.
  • "Why're you standing over there? Find somewhere to sit, together with your 'girlfriend." Professor Wax stressed, laying emphasis on the word, 'girlfriend'.
  • Ergon almost chuckled as he took a glance at Valeria. She looked like she was about to kill someone.
  • Ergon took her to the back seat. Valeria had no choice but to follow, though all eyes were on her.
  • The thought of sitting at the back made her cringe. She hated back benchers, right from day one.
  • They sat down and Professor Wax cleared his throat.
  • " Where was I?" He asked and a lady immediately stood up.
  • "You stopped at the topic of molecules."
  • "Thanks Sheila, you still remain my favorite student." Professor Wax said, and Sheila smiled.
  • Sheila turned around and she glared at Valeria. Sheila hissed before taking her seat.
  • Valeria blinked rapidly, not understanding what had just happened, she was literally confused as fuck.
  • Professor Wax continued with his lessons and she tried hard to listen because Ergon kept disturbing her. He was becoming a pest she needed to get rid of.
  • *****
  • Time fled fast. Professor Wax left and three other teachers came to tutor them. After all the stress and everything, they finally called it a day.
  • She took her backpack and made to leave but Ergon immediately appeared in front of her, startling her.
  • "What the hell?" She flinched.
  • "I'm sorry scared cat, what would people think if they saw you going home without me? They might think I'm not a caring boyfriend, which would make me look bad." He replied to his own question and she scoffed.
  • "Spoilt brat!" She thought.
  • "Get out of my way!" She yelled angrily. Throughout the day, she'd been receiving hateful glares from different angles. Valeria didn't want to make any enemies of herself.
  • Ergon ignored her, he grabbed her hand and he pulled her along with him.
  • "Let me go!" She struggled to break free.
  • The students watching laughed heartily, thinking it was lovers playing. Some took out their phones and started filming them.
  • "Go Ergon, I got your back." Jason encouraged him inside his car, since his driver was already driving out of the school premises.
  • "Bye dude." Ergon smiled. Romeo had already left.
  • Ergon took her to the parking lot and halted.
  • "Where's your car? And why isn't your driver here to pick you up?" He asked and Valeria heaved a sigh. So much for stressing her out.
  • "You rich kids! My apartment isn't far from here, I'll walk home."
  • "What!" He half yelled.
  • "Huh? You heard me loud and clear." She pushed him aside and she walked over to the gate.
  • Ergon almost fell but he managed to maintain his stance.
  • "What a lady!" Ergon said as he stared at her with admiration.
  • He would have loved to go after her and make her get into his car so he could take her home, but he didn't want to push things any further, otherwise, he wouldn't be surprised if she slapped him in annoyance.
  • He was sure she was as pissed at hell by his pestering behavior, and the thought of her hitting him only made him chuckle.
  • "Getting hit by a cutie won't be so bad I guess." He smiled.
  • "See you tomorrow love!" Ergon said aloud behind her, but she didn't spare him a glance. Ergon walked into the car since his driver was already waiting for him. He smiled, knowing he had just gotten himself a girlfriend in the twinkle of an eye.
  • *******
  • "I'm back mom." Valeria said, walking into the living room. She turned around to shut the door, not realizing that they'd got a visitor.
  • "Welcome home darling." Rita said.
  • Valeria turned around to face her mom, and that was when she saw the lady sitting beside her mom, she recognized the lady to be her mother's friend, Helena.
  • "Good afternoon." Valeria greeted her politely.
  • "Afternoon dear, I heard about your scholarship from your mother. Congratulations honey." Helena smiled.
  • "Thank you ma'am."
  • "How was school today honey? Hope you had fun and didn't get yourself into trouble." Rita asked Sternly.
  • "Come on mom, it's my first day. What do you take me for, huh? It's not like I'm some kind of a trouble shooter." Valeria scoffed. Rita and Helena chuckled heartily.
  • "Alright honey, you should go to your room and freshen up, your lunch is in the kitchen, you can just get it when you're done."
  • "Oksy mom," Valeria said with a smile on her face.
  • She was about to leave, but Helena's words made her stop in her track.
  • "Why don't you tell her about it now?"
  • "Please Helena, I already said no, i—."
  • "Tell me what?" Valeria interrupted.
  • "It's nothing honey, you—."
  • "Don't mind your mother, sweetie. If she doesn't want to tell you, then I'll tell you," Helena interrupted.
  • "Take a seat." She said, and Valeria sat down.
  • "The thing is, I didn't know you already got the scholarship and that you'd started schooling. So, I found you a job so you can help your mom with—."
  • "I don't need my daughter working just to help me, I want her to focus on her schooling. Helena, I already said I'll take care of it myself, I'll do the job. Let's leave Valeria out of this." Rita warned. She was quite pissed about Helena's persistence. She didn't want to involve Valeria in the matter, but Helena wouldn't listen.
  • "Please mom, let me hear her out." Valeria pleaded.
  • Helena turned her gaze at Rita and she smiled with an expression that said, "I told you so."
  • "What is this job all about?" Valeria asked, curiously.
  • "It's a job for the position of a maid. I have already applied for you, and fortunately, you've gotten the job. A maid is needed urgently, so I took it as an opportunity. The pay is good, and you'll be provided accommodation."
  • "No, I don't want my daughter going far away from me. She won't do it, Helena." Rita refused blatantly.
  • But the words Valeria said surprised her a great deal.
  • "I'll do it."
  • Mickelson's Mansion...
  • Ergon finally arrived home, he was on his way to his brother's room to say hi, but before he could even get to his room, he heard loud moans coming from his brother's room.
  • Ergon paused in his tracks, and sighed.
  • "Great!, he's at it again." Ergon muttered, while gazing at the door.
  • The moans of whoever his brother was screwing began to irritate him, so he left the passage hurriedly.
  • "I guess seeing him will have to wait for another time," he thought.
