Chapter 36 Interrupted

• I reach out for Lincoln and wrap him up in my arms. I can’t believe he said that he loves me. A part of me wonders if it’s too soon for those words to be spoken, but another part of me believes that it is exactly the right time. I think I love them as well, but I hesitate because I want to be sure.
• “You don’t have to say it back; I just want you to know how I feel.” I nod and pull back, reaching behind me for Landon’s hand. I make that connection, and the sparks are flying everywhere. Lincoln’s eyes gloss over, and I keep as quiet as I can. When Lincoln’s eyes clear up, he doesn’t look pleased. “I have to go check on a few things. I will be back, love.” I nod, and he kisses me on my cheek before leaving.
