Chapter 10 The Last Straw

• Elaine turned off the shower and walked out of the bathroom, a cotton robe tied firmly around her body. She noticed how the sky was getting darker and could tell it was evening.
• Glancing at the clock, it showed 6:12pm. A few hours of sleep had been well worth it after the torment she had been through.
• Elaine grabbed a towel and dried her hair before moisturising it. When she was done, she pulled out a calming balm and rubbed the cream around her reddish wrists where those thick ropes had bruised……
