• Meanwhile, back at the Anderson's residence, Dan stared expressionlessly at the old man who was for some reason suddenly claiming relatives while looking at him with excitement and fell into deep thought.
• He wondered what crooked idea the damn old man had cooked up in his muddled mind now.
• Glancing at Ryan from the corner of his eyes, he noticed the latter's look if watching a show and understood immediately that Ryan must have an inkling of the idea the old man had cooked up but had no intention whatsoever of telling him.
