- I was driving my car out of the forest to a nearby city with the radio on. It played an old song that I couldn’t recognize. It might be older than my age, but I liked it. Also, it was nice to accompany me while driving alone in cloudy weather.
- Minutes later, I saw dots on the front glass, which soon became a lot as the rain poured hard. I should have stayed in the pack house, maybe curling up inside my blanket or sipping hot chocolate with a book in my hands instead of traveling outside the territory. But it was my only choice when I overheard my brother’s conversation with Eliot.
