Chapter 3 Charlee is my accepted granddaughter-in-law

  • Charlee Ford narrowed his eyes.
  • She saw it clearly that the woman in the picture was Maggie Ford.
  • They will meet again soon.
  • At around half past six in the evening, Charlee Ford stood by the window of the hotel suite, opened the curtain, and saw the unprecedentedly grand scene.
  • Downstairs, guests were toasting, and William's father, dressed in a traditional custom suit and on crutches, was surrounded by people.
  • "His Lordship, young master arrived." Someone whispered a reminder into William's father's ear.
  • "Oh?" he asked, 'Is that right? Let him come in with Charlee!" William's father said quietly.
  • "Ah? Well ... young master is here, but he brought ..."
  • The servant in general found this hard to express and stopped.
  • A low-profile Bentley stopped outside the door.
  • William Bryan was dressed in a white suit. His long legs were straight under his trousers as he stepped out of the car.
  • The other side of the door opened, and a somewhat enchanting woman, standing on high heels, was on his side, under the guidance of the waiter together into the hotel front door.
  • As soon as the two of them appeared, they became the focus of the entire arena.
  • Charlee Ford also saw this scene, not surprisingly she also saw the stimulation of the look on William's father's face, and she quietly put down the curtain.
  • "What do you mean?" William's father controlled his temper and mused, "Where's Charlee? Are you trying to irritate me?"
  • When mentioning Charlee Ford, William Bryan's face darkened slightly, "You asked me to marry her, so I did. But I'm afraid you can't interfere with whom I want to bring out!"
  • I don't know what kind of magic potion that fool gave his Lordship.
  • If he came to such occasions with a fool, William Bryan will be a joke in the business world.
  • "You!" William's father was very angry. He knocked on the ground with his walking stick. "Charlee is my acknowledged granddaughter-in-law. I won't acknowledge anyone except her!"
  • This is deliberately said to Maggie Ford, who was not a fool.
  • Seeing the tense atmosphere between the two, she quickly handed the gift in her hand and said, "Grandpa, happy birthday to you."
  • "What do you mean?" his Lordship said directly. Maggie Ford was interrupted and had nothing to say.
  • He knew that his grandson was not satisfied with his arrangement.
  • But William Bryan didn't contact the girl and didn't see the girl's merits.
  • "Go and bring the young mistress to show everyone." his Lordship turned to the Butler.
  • 'Yes, your Lordship."
  • After the Butler left, Maggie Ford's fingers tightened around the gift. Out of the corner of her eye, she inadvertently caught a glimpse of William Bryan's side profile, and his expression became much colder.
  • "William, Grandpa doesn't seem to welcome me. Why don't...I go first?" Maggie Ford whispered.
  • She was only asking tentatively and had no intention of leaving. However, William Bryan did not reply to her, and his face seemed to have frozen.
  • She dared not to move, and also dared not to make any noise.
  • After a while, the Butler came downstairs and hurriedly informed William's father, "The young mistress is missing!"
