Chapter 10 Yang Xia’s Phone Call

• “Hmph! How could this be? In Jin Ling Commercial Street, other than Fan Ning, who else has such an authority? Yang Hui, are you trying to say that it was you?”
• At this moment, Xu Nan laughed coldly.
• Yang Hui tried to focus on his breathing. “I did not say that it was me. I merely stated my doubts. Just now Xiaonan, Yi Fan and Yi Fan’s dorm mates all made phone calls to their friends. My point is, what if one of their friends helped us and we did not thank them?”
• “You’ve got a point there!”
• Zhao Yifan’s facial expression looked grim.
• “Let’s do it this way. Everybody please check the calls that you have made. Let’s see whether it was Ning Fan or one of your friends who helped us out.”
• Zhao Yifan had started calling Ning Fan by his name intimately.
• Everybody started phoning their friends to confirm.
• Chen Hao stood aside and watched them awkwardly.
• Should I tell them the truth?
• While Chen Hao was still lost in his thoughts, everybody had finished confirming with their friends.
• The fact was, none of their friends actually had the ability to solve the situation just now.
• “Hmph! I was right. Other people definitely did not help us out. Ning Fan’s power is way beyond our imagination!” Xu Nan coldly glared at Yang Hui and the others.
• “Ok, let’s not play the guessing game anymore. Ning Fan is waiting for us at the entrance. Let’s not make him wait too long!”
• Zhao Yifan shot a glance at Yang Hui and Chen Hao.
• Her heart was filled with contempt.
• It seemed that they only said it because they were jealous of Ning Fan’s capabilities.
• The crowd finally arrived at the entrance.
• Sure enough, Ning Fan and his friends were waiting outside the entrance with a fleet of luxury cars.
• “Xiaonan, are you coming or not?” Zhao Yifan took Ma Xiaonan’s hands.

• Ma Xiaonan was a straightforward person. She had always felt that Ning Fan was a hypocrite. She really did not like him at all.
• When Zhao Yifan saw that she could not be persuaded, she bid goodbye and went off with her friends.
• Then, they parted ways in front of the KTV’s entrance.
• After they left, Chen Hao gave Ma Xiaonan and Yang Hui a glance.
• Both of them looked very disappointed.
• He could see that they really wanted to go to the Hot Spring Villa to take a look.

• Chen Hao quietly noted this down. He would wait for the right time to bring everybody to the Hot Spring Villa to take a look.
• Half an hour later, Ning Fan and the rest of the fleet stopped in front of Hot Spring Villa’s entrance.
• One after another, Zhao Yifan and her friends got out of the car.
• “Stop there, you guys are not allowed to go in!”
• But to their surprise, before they could even step foot in the lobby, they were stopped by a few well-trained security guards in black suits.
• “Oh? Mr. Li, I am Fan! Don’t you recognize me? My dad is Ning Qiang! I am bringing my friends over to play today…”
• Ning Fan had one hand in his pocket and was smiling at the guards. He looked like someone who was always getting into trouble.
• “Haha! Young Master Ning, you are such a free spirit. You still have the mood to play around even after what happened to your family? Putting aside the fact that we are denying you entry to the Villa today, I am afraid that from now on, even if we allowed you to enter, you wouldn’t dare to!”
• Some of the security guards sniggered.
• They were looking at the pretentious Ning Fan with disdain.

• Zhao Yifan and the rest of the girls were looking at each other in confusion.
• This was the first time Xu Nan was looked down upon by another person. And these people were mere security guards!
• Xu Nan’s voice was cold. “This is Ning Fan, also known as Young Master Ning! Ming Huang Restaurant on Commercial Street belongs to his family!”
• “Haha, I know. However, we should add the word ‘used to’. Young Master Ning, I am afraid you don’t know this, do you? From today onward, Ming Huang Restaurant is not owned by your family anymore. Besides, all the other businesses that are owned by your family have declared bankruptcy. Your father, Ning Qiang, should have his hands full now dealing with the cops, the people from the Business Bureau and the banks!”
• The guards crossed their arms while laughing as they told him the story.
• Ning Fan gulped. “No way, you guys are lying to me!”
• As he was speaking, he took out his mobile phone hurriedly and dialed his father’s number.
• After dialing a few times continuously, only then did his father pick up.
• Listening to the tumultuous sounds in the background, Ning Fan asked his father what had happened.
• After a brief moment, Ning Fan’s face turned pale. It was completely drained of color.
• “No way! No way! How could this be?!!!”
• After he finished listening to his father’s words, Ning Fan’s mobile phone dropped to the ground.
• All the stores that were owned by his family were closed down because his father had violated the law.
• All their bank accounts were frozen too!
• In other words, Ning Fan had lost everything within an hour!
• Zhao Yifan and the rest of the girls obviously did not expect this plot twist.
• They were standing at the side, their expressions awkward.
• “Impossible, this is absolutely impossible!”
• Ning Fan sat down on the ground. Both his eyes looked empty.

• Xu Nan waved his hands. “Fan, I think you should hurry home to see you father. No wonder my father said that your father would end up in jail one day if he continued running his businesses like that. His words really came true!”
• “Yi Fan, what should we do?”
• All the girls had no idea. They were looking forward to experiencing the Villa, but who knew that Ning Fan’s family would go bankrupt today, out of all days!
• “Since we can’t help much by staying here, I think we should go back!”
• After saying that, Zhao Yifan immediately grabbed a cab and left.
• The rest also left one after another.
• At this moment, in the penthouse above the Villa, Li Zhenguo was looking at the scene before him.
• Immediately after that, he made a call.
• “CEO Chen, Young Master Chen only said to take back the Ning family’s investments in Jin Ling Commercial Street. However now, you have bankrupted their entire family. They will never be able to hold their heads high again after this!”
• “Haha, my younger brother is just too soft-hearted. This is not the way we handle things in the Chen family. • Li Zhenguo nodded his head respectfully.
• In regards to the matters concerning the Ning family, naturally it was the Chen family’s Chen Xiao who took matters into her own hands.

• Yang Xia’s angry voice was heard through the phone.
• When he heard her voice, Chen Hao thought of their past. They used to call each other like that.
• “Yes, what do you want?” Chen Hao said coldly.
• “I have something to say to you. After we broke up, I recalled that you were still holding onto one of my pictures. Bring it down for me. I will be waiting for you at the campus’ lakeside. You’d better be here. Let me tell you this, if you do not come, I will jump into the lake and drown myself!”
