Chapter 26

• Connor stood still as he watched Nancy walk out of his room as fast as her legs could carry her. He felt a pang in his chest the moment she slammed the door, but he didn't move an inch from where he stood for a few minutes as he kept on wondering what went wrong.
• He was brought out of his thoughts by his ringtone. Connor sighed, then headed over to his bed where he placed his phone earlier.
• As much as he wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, he still wanted to know who it was.
