- “And as for you two, I’m surprised you thought showing your face here would be a good idea. Neither of you is welcome in this land for the rest of your days. But, since you’ve stubbornly decided to come on your own, I think the royal dungeons will make an excellent home for you.”
- River glares at him but says nothing. I can feel the tension radiating off him, his fists clenched so tightly, I’m surprised he hasn’t broken skin. Brook sits silent as well, his expression hard and unreadable, though I can see the faint tremor in his hands.
- “And of course,” he continues, turning his attention to Akin, “your loyal bodyguard. We wouldn’t want to forget about him, would we?”
