Chapter 4 Things She Wants To Do
- "Take me away then" I requested as a ray of hope formed in my eyes.
- I looked at him as a god who would free me.
- He took off his coat and wrapped me in it, making such no part of my exposed arms were left out.
- "Ariana, don't let this man deceive you, come back to me and i will forgive you" Ivan pressed on and I felt like punching him on his face. Unfortunately, I was weak.
- The bouncer quickly took the paper and forced Ivan to sign it but he refutes, still bent on reaching me but rayven was shielding me.
- My eyes sights Elena restraining Ivan from drawing closer. Mrs walker had even placed the divorce papers in his hands to sign.
- It was absurd that they didn't fight back again or possibly, they were scared of rayven.
- I didn't quite understand the communication that was going on between them.
- Immediately he signed the papers, his bouncer snap it away from Ivan and gave a slight bow to rayven.
- When he took me in his arms, I felt I was swiveling in a bubbles.
- My hands went around his neck and my head lazily cling to his chest. Away from my nightmare, I was looking on to my redemption.
- My eyes spotted Ivan glaring at us from the entrance door.
- I was still puzzled what Elena told him to make him sign the papers and let me off so easily.
- However, that was the least of my worries. Staring at the house from behind rayven, my eyes images it burn to the ground.
- Rayven made me sit comfortably in the car. Quickly, he gave an order to the chauffeur to take us to a pharmacy close by.
- Everything was happening fast and my heartbeats slowly for this man's affection.
- However, I knew it was just an act and I shouldn't buy it. All I have to do was lick up my heart but why was it so difficult?
- Sitting and staring at the ring on my finger, I didn't mind the pain I felt when the pharmacist attends to my wounds.
- His voice only came in when I whimpered. He told the pharmacist to be more careful and encouraged me to be strong.
- My cheeks flushes red as I felt an uncontrollable peace lingering in my heart.
- Oddly enough, I shouldn't give in just yet to another man's act. I was yet to know him.
- I took a glimpse at him and when he had almost looked at me, I rolled my eyes away, shyly yet posing a stern face.
- There was silence between us, as though we were strangers. Of course, we were, too shy to speak.
- Or perhaps, he awaits the right time to speak to me. How I hated myself for letting out my blush.
- His cold gaze fell on the newspaper and I wished to read his expression.
- "How do you like being away from your nightmares?" He suddenly broke the silent between us.
- Of course, I should be happy but I gave no response but only cupped myself in his coat.
- "How do I get my inheritance back?" I cut in the chase eager to make those people pay.
- "How do you want it? Through violence or peace?" He replied lowering the paper down and I gulp hard.
- Those people do not deserve peace but violence and I gladly chose violence.
- A smirk was stranded in his lips as he slams the newspaper, I was startled.
- "How are you feeling now?" He questioned as his eyes scruntized my body. He just diverted from an intense topic.
- Was he trying to lurch at me with those eyes? His gaze darkens at me as a second thought rang in my head.
- It wasn't about moving out of that house, it's about the new chapter I will be starting with a man I barely knew?
- What if he wants to make me a sex toy? Or his stripper? He might be a dangerous man disguised as a gentleman. Men couldn't be trusted in this modern age.
- Dirty imaginations began to fill my head as his eyes haven't left me.
- Annoyingly, I covered my cleavage with his coat and snuggled my head.
- "We'll begin with defending yourself" he then said, at the wrong time.
- Once the pharmacist was done with treating my injuries, she gave all the necessary instructions and medications to rayven who I guess looked confused.
- He doesn't seem like one who could take care of a patient. I watch as he toss the drugs to his bouncer.
- I was still seated when rayven stood up. He attempted to take me in his arms again but I proudly said;
- "I can walk"
- Perhaps, that was my mistake, I should have swallowed my pride and let him help.
- I ended up leaping to the door, I thought he was a gentleman, but i was wrong. All he did was stare at me.
- I tried to pull the door handle open angrily that he didn't persist to change my mind into letting him aid.
- Oddly I almost fell but then his strong arms went around my waist and I rolled on him.
- My head bang on his chest, my breast pinned on him and my arms never failing to capture his neck.
- Our lips almost rub against each other but i ducked my head, jittery. I couldn't control my emotions neither could I concentrate.
- His eyes, the affection in it as though he searches my soul for an answer I couldn't give.
- "Didn't I tell you? Let me be your solid ground" he mutters those lines and i was stunned.
- Did he really mean those words or I was just hallucinating?
- He took me once again in his arms to the car.
- I was loving every moment of him even though he was cold and silent.
- A sad smile escaped my lips when we took the route through the beach.
- It's been a while since I last visited this serene place.
- I placed my fingers on the window, heaving and wishing the car stops for me to just observe the beach.
- The last time I came around was with me and my mom, my only family who died mysteriously.
- "Stop" He suddenly ordered calmly and I gulped hard, rolling my eyes at him. He must have noticed.
- Was he a psychologist? If he gives me this much attention, I might not control myself from falling.
- The next thing, I found myself on the beach, staring at the water, my cold feet buried in the sand.
- The mild sun glowering at me as it was soon replaced by the gently breeze. It enlivens my heart.
- The crashing waves and he was right beside me like a shadow. Tears clouded my eyes as I wanted to pour it out so badly.
- I indirectly took glimpse of him and I could tell, he suits for a model.
- His hands in his pockets as he was lost or I was wrong! This man was observing me!
- "Let out those tears but never cry over the same reason again"
- He told me and I took a glimpse at him. His eyes were on the dancing waves that sweeps on the shores.
- "But don't hurt yourself, I can't bare the pain" he added and at last laid his gaze me.
- My cheeks flushes red and I shyly covered them with my palms, running ahead of him to avoid being betwitched.
- I spread my arms and smile as tears gush down my eyes, feeling the cool breeze as it fans my face.
- There were things I wish to try out and he was letting me give my best shot.
- He held my hand, let out a mischievous smile and ran with me towards the surfing.
- I was petrified screaming and hiding my face behind him. The water poured on us like kids and I chuckled, soaking his coat but he never minds.
- For a long while, I laugh out genuinely. He was literally taking away my sad memories and reminding me that I had a chance at life again.
- He was breathtaking. His hands waving at me if I could hear him but then, my ears tingles as i gasp for air.
- Rayven was wet as I was and he was alluring as his hair partly covered his face. It was as though he needed a break judging by how he eagerly wanted to run into the waves.
- If it were to please me, then he totally won. I was quick to conclude that he was a gentleman.
- Walking out of the water, he took out a pendant and wore it on my neck.
- "Keep it, it's a special gem, when you feel scared, just find comfort in it" he whispers. His breath sweeping the back of neck.
- I felt unsettled, it was just the first day and he was acting like we knew each other.
- What would happen in the rest days? I will certainly die under his irresistible care. How certain am I that I will gain my revenge at this rate?
- From my speculations, he hardly speaks much and when he does, its a bombshell in my heart.
- I turned to face him and our eyes locked together. My lips were glued to ask him the throbbing questions in my head.
- He stared at me intensively, just like the first day we met in the hospital.
- Rayven was doleful but he tries to hide it, I sensed it.
- The only thing I doubt is if he has a happy face. His right arm held my tiny waist, pulling me closer to himself.
- My heart was flustered as he suddenly cupped my cheeks with the other hand.
- Before I could wink an eye on him, he suddenly captured my lips.
