• My mate lifts me in his arms, and I hold him closer, feeling emotional after what happened. Medical personnel take Alaiah on a stretcher, her injuries are fatal and it will take her months to get in shape but the Alpha's daughter glares at me.
• "I'm so proud of you baby," Whispers my mate. He puts me down and I wrap my arms around him, burying my face in his chest and inhaling his rain scent that calms me.
