• SCARLET'S POV
• I was disgusted by Brad but he was the only person who could save me. And judging from the way he was glaring at Valerie, I could tell he was still in character. He was still playing his game and believed I was oblivious about it.
• He walked up to Valerie with a thick frown laced across his face. She shuddered as she hid her hands behind her back. I could see the uneasiness in her eyes, the fear coursing through her body as she tapped her feet anxiously.
