- The early morning mist curled around the trees as Cassia pulled Kael’s cloak tighter around her shoulders. It smelled like cedar, smoke, and something distinctly him. It was surprisingly comforting, even though he’d practically thrown it at her earlier, grumbling about not attracting attention like an idiot.
