• I looked over to Lucian. “I want to be with Lucian forever”, I said, without hesitation. His left eye was swollen and his jaw had a trail of blood along with a splatter of blood over the right side of his face.
• He was breathing heavily and was in bad shape. When I looked back at my Mom, I saw her smile brightly. “OK, then it settled”, She turned to the elder.
