• It's too soon, Eve thought. No. It was too soon. This, she didn't believe. This she didn't want to believe. He couldn't have fallen so easily. She had heard him mutter the words a few times, but she didn't think he meant it.
• This was just the lockdown experience she had all planned in her head. What happens when they are out together, or when he sees other ladies? Would his hunger for her lessen? Would work get the better of him should the lockdown be called off? Would she still hear from him again?
