• I screamed, then bolted because I wasn't going to take any chances. He'd broken into my home, which meant that he was not here to talk but to hurt me.
• Antonov had been right. I shouldn't have messed with his orders... I had thought it would keep him busy... I should have known that he was unpredictable and dangerous. I shouldn't have underestimated him, not after what he and Miguel had done to me. I should have known that he was a sick bastard and that he hadn't changed, and probably never would.
